1. The vampyrs take on the forms of cats, frogs, toads, flies, spiders, or bats. (from Auras)
2. Whoever sees a vampyr will get pale lips. (from Drebkau)
3. The golens are ghosts who dig up the graves of recently deceased people at night and consume the corpses. (Auras)
4. The golens have the shape of weasels; they suck the blood of humans. (Auras)
5. A farmer from Auras fell from the wagon and broke his neck. In the night after his funeral, he returned from his grave to his son and sucked his blood, so that the latter died soon after. After this incident became known in the village, both corpses were burned in order to protect the locals from further harm. (Auras)
6. A farmer was once found murdered in the vicinity of Kiekebusch. The corpse was buried. Soon after, the rumor spread that the murdered farmer was roaming at night, blew out the light in the houses, knocked at the doors, and sucked out the blood of the people who encountered him. In order to free themselves from this plague, the people dug up the corpse, hammered a blessed nail into the head, and a stake through the heart. However, this was for no avail, and the murdered man returned every night. Then they decided to dig up the re-buried corpse once more, burned it near the Banitzer Lache lake, and scattered the ashes into the winds. Since then, the village has had peace from the dead man. (Kiekebusch)
