The Broom Rider

There once lived a man at the Hassel near Mettman who could ride on a broomstick from the uppermost window of his house to the ground. Depending on how he held the broomstick — steeper or more horizontal, more to the right or to the left — he drove down on the side of the house at faster or at slower speeds.
