Late one evening, two inhabitants of Gräfrath walked towards the town from the east, from the Dünnenbroich. They talked about this and that. Suddenly, the conversation stuttered and the eyes of both turned towards the nearby monastery, for a fiery man suddenly stepped through the wall which used to surround the monastery gardens. They remained where they stood, frozen by fear. Meanwhile, the fiery one came ever closer, walked past them in silence, and turned towards the nearby forest. Full of dread, they now hurried away and soon arrived at their homes.
