(Oral tale from Swinemünde)

Uncanny forces are at work in the Tannenkamp near Krummin on Usedom, for people frequently see a rider without a head soaring closer. This rider soon takes on all sorts of shapes and then transforms himself into a large, gray stone. In this form, he remains lying next to the road and frequently causes horses to become frightened from its presence. Because of this, many people have suffered great damage to their wagons and their harnesses.
